About Bridgewater Mill
Bridgewater Mill is a heritage-listed former flour mill located in Bridgewater in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia, about 20 kilometres southeast of Adelaide. Built in 1860 by miller John Dunn, it is one of the best-preserved 19th-century mills in the region. The stone mill building, water wheel and associated structures now operate as a restaurant, cellar door and function venue, set beside Cox Creek and surrounded by landscaped gardens.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a restored three-storey stone flour mill set beside Cox Creek with an intact water wheel, original timber and stonework, and landscaped gardens. The interior houses a restaurant and cellar door showcasing Adelaide Hills produce and wines, with dining rooms retaining mill machinery and heritage features. The grounds include outdoor seating by the creek, garden areas and function spaces. It is a dining and sightseeing venue rather than a museum, with heritage interpretation on site.
