About Brambuk the National Park and Cultural Centre
Brambuk the National Park and Cultural Centre is an Aboriginal cultural centre and national park visitor centre located in Halls Gap at the edge of Grampians National Park (Gariwerd) in Victoria. Opened in 1990 and jointly managed by Parks Victoria and Traditional Owners, it interprets the living culture of the Jardwadjali, Djab Wurrung and Gunditjmara peoples through exhibitions, artefacts, art and bush tucker displays.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a low-profile building designed to reflect traditional Aboriginal shelters, set against the Grampians ranges with native gardens. Inside are exhibition galleries with artefacts, tools, artworks and interpretive displays on Gariwerd rock art and Dreaming stories, a theatre showing cultural films, a bush foods cafe and retail shop. Staff provide park information, maps and cultural tours, and outdoor areas include picnic lawns and access to walking tracks.
