About Bishop's Lodge Historic House and Heritage Garden
Bishop's Lodge Historic House and Heritage Garden is a heritage-listed former Anglican bishop's residence in Hay South, Hay, New South Wales. Built in 1888-1889 for Bishop Sydney Linton, the first Bishop of Riverina, and designed by architect John Sulman, it features a distinctive corrugated iron and timber homestead surrounded by a recreated heritage rose garden. Managed as a house museum, it displays period furnishings and local history on the Murrumbidgee River plain.
