History of Binga Dam
Binga Dam was constructed from 1956 to 1960 as a war reparations project with assistance from Japan, and commissioned in 1960. Built downstream of Ambuklao Dam on the Agno River, it was initially a 100 MW facility to supply power to Luzon. It has undergone rehabilitation and uprating, now operating as a 140 MW hydroelectric plant managed by SN Aboitiz Power-Benguet.
