Bangla Road

Bangla Road is a 400-metre pedestrianized entertainment street in Patong, Kathu District, Phuket, running from Rat-U-Thit Road to Patong Beach. Known as Patong's nightlife centre, it is lined with bars, nightclubs, restaurants, shops and live-music venues. Closed to vehicles in the evening, it becomes a walking street with neon lights and street performers, drawing visitors for nightlife, dining and people-watching near the beach.

Visitors can expect a flat, straight 400-metre street lined on both sides with open-front bars, nightclubs, restaurants, souvenir shops and live-music stages. During the day it is a normal road with light traffic and shops. From evening it is closed to vehicles and becomes a pedestrian walking street with bright neon signs, loud music, street performers and crowds. The atmosphere is lively and crowded, with opportunities for dining, drinking, shopping and people-watching, ending at Patong Beach at the western end.

Bangla Road developed alongside Patong's growth as Phuket's main beach resort from the 1980s and 1990s, evolving from a local road with small shops into a dedicated entertainment and nightlife street to serve increasing international tourism in Kathu District.

Serves as the central hub of Patong's nightlife and entertainment culture, reflecting the town's identity as Phuket's primary resort and entertainment district with a mix of music, dining and nightlife venues catering to international visitors.
