About Bandaje Falls
Bandaje Falls, also known as Bandaje Arbi Falls, is a seasonal waterfall located near Bandaje village in Belthangady Taluk, Dakshina Kannada District, Karnataka, within the Western Ghats. Situated along the trek route to Ballalarayana Durga Fort near Charmadi Ghat, the falls drops about 200 feet over rocky cliffs surrounded by dense evergreen forest. Notable for its monsoon flow, remote forest setting and associated trekking route, it is a popular nature attraction in the Charmadi region.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a remote forest waterfall accessible only by a strenuous trek through the Western Ghats. The trail passes through dense evergreen forest, grasslands, streams and steep rocky sections leading to a cliff-top viewpoint and the base of the falls. During monsoon and post-monsoon months the falls flows strongly over a broad rock face into a valley below. There are no built structures at the falls; the experience is primarily trekking, sightseeing and photography in a natural, undeveloped forest environment.
