About Ballina Naval and Maritime Museum
The Ballina Naval and Maritime Museum is a community-run museum on Regatta Avenue on the Richmond River at Ballina, New South Wales. It is notable for housing the original Las Balsas raft, the only surviving raft from the 1973 Ecuador to Australia expedition, along with extensive Royal Australian Navy and merchant maritime collections, ship models, uniforms, photographs and artefacts documenting Australia's naval and local maritime history.
