About Ambardi Safari Park
Ambardi Safari Park is a wildlife safari park located in Ambardi village near Dhari in Amreli district, Gujarat. Developed by the Gujarat Forest Department as an interpretation zone of the Gir ecosystem, it offers guided open-jeep safaris to view Asiatic lions in a natural habitat. Spread over a fenced protected area with scrub forest and grassland, the park aims to reduce tourism pressure on Gir National Park while promoting lion conservation and eco-tourism.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a guided open-gypsy safari through a fenced scrub forest and grassland habitat designed to resemble the Gir landscape. The main attraction is sighting Asiatic lions, along with leopards, spotted deer, sambar, nilgai and birds. The park has a ticket counter, interpretation centre, and designated safari tracks. Safaris operate in fixed morning and evening slots with a guide and driver, and visitors remain inside the vehicle throughout.
