About Aguinid Falls
Aguinid Falls is a multi-tiered limestone waterfall system in Barangay Tangbo, Samboan, southern Cebu, Philippines. It consists of eight levels with cascades, natural pools and travertine formations flowing toward the coast. Notable for its guided canyoneering-style ascent requiring climbing, wading and swimming between levels, it is managed by the local community with mandatory guides and is one of Samboan's most visited natural attractions.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect an 8-level tiered waterfall set in a forested limestone gorge near the coast. The experience involves a guided trek upstream, climbing over rocks, using ropes and ladders, wading through streams and swimming in shallow natural pools at various levels. Lower levels are easily accessible while upper levels require more strenuous climbing. Guides lead all groups, provide safety briefings, and assist on slippery sections. Surroundings include limestone cliffs, vegetation, and small basins for swimming and photography.
