About Adelaide Oval RoofClimb
Adelaide Oval RoofClimb is a guided roof-top adventure at Adelaide Oval, the historic sports stadium on War Memorial Drive in North Adelaide, South Australia. Launched in 2016, it allows visitors to traverse the stadium's roof structure via walkways and bridges while harnessed to a safety system. Notable for panoramic views over Adelaide city, parklands and coast, it combines stadium architecture, sporting heritage and scenic sightseeing in a central city location.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a guided, harnessed walk across the curved roofs of Adelaide Oval's western, southern and eastern stands. After a safety briefing and harness fitting at the RoofClimb Centre, groups ascend via stairs and elevated walkways and bridges up to 50 metres above the oval. The route offers 360-degree views of Adelaide city skyline, Adelaide Hills, River Torrens and coastline, with commentary on the stadium's architecture and history. Day, twilight and night climbs are offered.
